For the present, the twosome has quit shaving or trimming of facial hair.<br /> <br /> Issued by a board of three muftis – Faqrul Islam, Waqar Ali and Zain-ul-Qasmi – the Fatwa expresses that shaving a facial hair was un-Islamic as it is not allowed in the Sharia.<br /> <br /> "The Islamic constitution doesn't permit us to decrease the whiskers of a man of any religion. "Supporting a facial hair is Sunnah," says Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali, who heads a unit that issues fatwas in Lucknow.<br /> <br /> "Shaving a facial hair is Mamnoo (not favored) but rather not Haraam (prohibited) in Islam," he says.<br /> <br /> For the salon proprietor couple which looked for the Fatwa, the current issue was persuading the demographic that shaving was un-Islamic, henceforth they were not offering the administration any more. Thus, they have set up a duplicate of the fatwa outside their shop. For the time being they are just offering administrations like dressing and trimming of hair.<br /> <br /> The salon proprietors say it was getting troublesome for them to clarify why they were not offering administrations like shaving or trimming whiskers, so they chose to set up duplicate of the fatwa.<br /> <br /> The pronouncement has left hair salon proprietors in Lucknow in a situation.
